As part of the Karlsruhe – UNESCO City of Media Arts campaign, INDEPENDENT DAYS | International Filmfest is seeking experimental short films up to 30 minutes in length. Filmmakers have the opportunity to win the UNESCO City of Media Arts Film Award. The best short films in the field of media arts will be showcased during the festival.

INDEPENDENT DAYS | International Filmfest is one of the most important festivals for independent filmmakers in Europe and is a member of the European Festivals Association. It holds the prestigious EFFE (Europe for Festivals – Festivals for Europe) label awarded by the European Union. It is also an IMDb-qualifying festival for awards. The festival will take place from April 9 to 13, 2025.
